I’m working on several small DIY projects for the an upcoming show.  Small projects are a fun change of pace from time to time.  This DIY Lazy Susan is a quick project that would make the perfect gift, a small project to sell in a booth or just a fun DIY project for your home.

I used a fun new product called Chalk Couture to decorate mine, it’s a fast, easy application that really make it special.  You could also paint a design or use vinyl.

Supplies needed to make a DIY Lazy Susan:

Wood round

Coffee Bean Stain

High Performance Top coat in flat finish

Handles

Lazy Susan Hardware

Cork pad

Chalk Couture Transfer and Chalkology Paste

Step 1. Stain your round as desired.  Once dry apply a coat of topcoat.

Step 2. Apply your design (if desired). Some designs and applications may require one more coat of topcoat. You want your design to stay put on your lazy susan!

Step 3.  Attach handles with small screws (I found cabinet screws to be the perfect length and color for this project)

Step 4. Attach your lazy susan hardware to the back.

Step 5. Using hot glue, attach the cork pad to the base of the lazy susan hardware.

Step 6. Turn it over and let it spin!!

Total cost on this project was only about $20.

Here’s a quick video to show you how it’s made!!

Isn’t it the perfect piece of farmhouse home decor?! I love how these turned out!! And how easy it was to put it all together! DIY Lazy Susan is a great craft project or idea for a gift!
