Hello!  I am behind on several fun furniture makeovers.  Let’s catch-up with what’s been happening in the workshop lately…

By the way, for day in and day out progress and pieces, check out my Instagram feed @rwfurniture (https://www.instagram.com/rwfurniture/).

Okay, on to today’s makeover.  I’m working with a super fun client who has a set of pieces that she is using in different areas of her home.  So each piece is being refinished differently.  First up a dresser for the entry way that she wanted dark and dramatic!

And the after…

The dresser started as an off white with some green details.  My client had started removing paint at one point and given up.  I decided to use some of the texture from the left over paint to our advantage.

The dresser got two coats of Queenstown Gray Milk Paint, and then I glazed it with Pitch Black Glaze Effects.  I love how the glaze brought out the details of the piece and settled into the textured places.  I topped it all off with Flat out Flat Topcoat for a velvety smooth flat finish.

The hardware – isn’t it awesome! – is original and just needed a quick scrub and oiling to make it shine again.

Now this piece is ready for a grand entry at it’s new home!

Just wait until you see what we did with the next piece in this set!
